A traditional stone built lamia in a panoramic position looking out over the edge of the Itria valley. Originally a farmer's cottage it was designed to be warm in winter and cool in summer.
The main room has a characteristic vaulted ceiling and many other original features. There are panoramic views of three hill top towns from the terrace and swimming pool.
There is a large, self-contained outside terrace, partly shaded by a wooden pergola with furniture for outside dining and relaxing. Additional umbrellas are provided for more shade if you require it.
The pool
The panoramic pool is entirely fenced off. It is 2 metres deep at the deep end and has an extensive shallow area. A traditional inflatable paddling pool is also supplied for use on the terrace.
The grounds
The lamia sits in an acre of almond grove. Numerous other fruit trees (cherries, figs, pomegranates, apricots, plums, pears, walnuts, persimmon, medlar, quince, fichi di India and grapes surround the house and there is a vegetable and herb garden – you are welcome to help yourself to anything in season)
Sleeping up to 8, the house comprises:
Large open plan living area with kitchen, dining and lounge areas - with large comfortable corner sofa (makes into a double bed)
Master bed room with en suite bathroom
Children's bedroom with bunk beds off master bedroom
Additionally, there is a nanny / granny annexe in an outside building with double bed and own bathroom (also suitable for older children if you choose). |

A welcome pack is provided for your arrival.
This includes bottled water, pasta, sauce, cheese, snacks, milk, beer and wine - please let us know if you have other requests
Ipod speakers are provided (but not the Ipod to go with them!).
There is a selection of DVDs available for your use. We do not provide a TV or DVD player but if you are travelling with a laptop or mini DVD you are welcome to use them
There is a file in the house full of leaflets for local attractions and instructions on how to find the nearest supermarkets etc.
All bedding is 100% cotton
This is somewhere where the owners are happy to stay with their own two young children and has been baby/toddler proofed as much as possible. However, nothing replaces responsible supervision and we cannot be held responsible for any accidents that may arise during your stay.
